Logo Design -- Mascot
Samka is a wine that origins from Hakka. There is a saying in early China that people who drink the Samka Wine will pass the imperial examination and be chosen to work for the state bureaucracy. The black gauze cap that the bureaucrat wears has become an inspiration to design this mascot.
Logo Design -- Lettermark
The design combined Samka's Mandarin characters and the shape of the Chinese wine pot.
Wine Label Design
Qilin is a creature that appears in Chinese mythology. The graphic on the label showed a heroic and bold Qilin with the Hakka pattern on its body.
Poster Design
Designed three types of posters to make a connection with a different group of audiences. These posters were put on the online shop to promote the product.
Brand Story
Created Illustrations for a marketing video to show the motivation and the journey in bringing the brand to life as a product and sharing it with the public.
A bartender met a girl and fell in love with her after finding out that they shared the same interests and viewpoints. However, the girl's parents didn't agree with their relationship because they think working as a bartender was not a promising career. This didn't make the bartender give up but gave him the courage to build a brand with his friend to prove himself and produce the Samka Wine that the girl loved.
